Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American broadcaster. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first job as a production assistant at Univision in Miami which provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her first job was as reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. After 2009, the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. The family moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. The family settled in Miami after moving from Mexico to the US. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. Her residence was at Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer in which she was provided with the opportunity of a job. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she knew exactly what career path she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her Antonietta visited the school. It was an amazing campus. They also offered her the program she was interested in. Following the completion of her high school education she attended the University to pursue media studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a member of the class, established an ongoing friendship with the student. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
