Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14, 1970) is an American writer and actress. With her two Golden Globe Awards, this actor has been famous through roles like Barbara in CBS One Day at a Time as well as Melanie Moretti in Hot in Cleveland. When she was a teenager, she began acting and has since developed to become a seasoned character actor. She discovered a love for showbiz through her friendship with a daughter of a television producer when she was a little girl. Bertinelli began her career as a television host after completing her studies at the Tami Lynn School of Artists. Fast forward to the present she was confident and her acting skills helped Bertinelli to carve out a place her own and became a popular television personality. Personally, her rocky past was well-known as were her battles with drug abuse and other problems. However, she worked for years to overcome the challenges and to reclaim her living. Many people are familiar with her New York Times best selling books where she wrote about the personal challenges she had to face. She is working on her culinary competition Kids Baking Championship.
